XP home will not recognize USB storage device...

When I plug this into my other laptop, it recognizes it immediately. But my wife's laptop won't. I uninstalled it on (her machine's) device manager, restarted the machine and it still doesn't show up on "my computer" when I go to transfer something (like pix for instance) to it. I looked for a driver on the LG site but sorta gave up....is that it? the driver? or some other problem? The machine is using XP Home.

Yep it could quite possibly be you need the latest drivers
