XP, IE6, and cookie issues.

OK, I started having problems logging onto Hotmail this morning. I was having some other issues, but I needed to access my email account to verify some new accounts.

Just for fun I tried my laptop, which logged right on with no problems. So I went to properties, deleted all my temporary cookie folders and files (I have the days to keep pages in history set for 2), at which time I was able to access hotmail again, although it had forgotten my password, along with Major Geeks and some other sites.

I was unable to access hotmail either from my favorites or from the MSN home web site. Right now it's working. Any ideas?
