XP is driving me insane

I don't wtf is going on here but alot of things are not working the way they should. I have win XP home edition and also have norton anti virus and internet security. Now, when I click on download demo at http://www.ati.com/halflife2/index.html it pops up a window and quickly closes it. I have turned off IE popup blocker but it is still killing the download window. I tried it in Netscape and it downloads just fine. Also yahoo chat won't load in IE but does load in Nescape. WTF?

 

As far as the popup being blocked, try holding the left Ctrl Key while you click on the link. This is the default bypass key in a lot of popup blocker programs.

 

Looks like IE may have been hijacked. I reckon you may solve this by downloading 'Highjack This' from this site. Just make sure that you follow the advice in the readme and also take the time to read the instructions carefully. It helped me find and delete the IE 'helper' About Blank.
