    gimpster123 Bring out the Gimp.

I recently went from one computer hooked up directly to a cabelmodem to 2 computers hooked up to it via a router. My original computer still works fine through the router, but the other isnt.

I have a older dell with an ethernet port on the motherboard and in a pci slot. XP (pro) was just reinstalled on it.

The computer recognizes and connect to the network. (and the router recognizes the additional pc) But i am unable to use the internet in any way shape or form on it.

    Help!!!

    Thanks,
    Gimpster123

can you ping the router through the command prompt?
also if your computer has two ethernet ports (one on the motherboard and one pci nic) disable the one your not using and see if this helps.
also check to see if your two lans are bridged, if so remove them from being bridged.
