   When logging into XP while everything is loading we get multiple CMD windows opening, usually 48 or so.
   the top bar=c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
   
   top of cmd box=Microsoft Windows XP
   version 5.1.2600
   copyright 1985-2001
   
   before the cursor=C:\documents and settings\(user)> then a blinking curser, nothing else
   
   Any help?

   I think you may have malware.
   Go here http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407 and go through everything in the Read and Run post.
   
   If something does not work, go here http://forums.majorgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35
   post a new thread in the malware removal section. Post what you have done and then where you could go no further.
