I need to create a desktop shortcut to the XP slideshow screensaver in order to manually start it up. I've had this setup for years, but now the shortcut just opens up Notepad with computer code inside instead of starting the slideshow. I'm fairly computer literate and know that the file used for the slideshow is ssmypics.scr. The screensaver currently works when in Display under Control Panel, so I know it works. Creating this shortcut to the desktop however as I stated above, only opens Notepad with the computer code shown. I don't understand because I've had a shortcut to my screensaver for years and it's always worked in the past. Now I can't figure out why the screensaver file no longer displays the pictures manually.

Anyone have any suggestions or help here for me please?

You can also reply to foxonly525@hotmail.com as well.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide me in this matter.
