I use the Performance Monitor applet in Windows XP to check network bandwidth.

Recently, the labels for performance objects and counters have become listed as numerical values instead of text confused

Can I get Windows to show these as text again without having to reinstall? The rest of the system is working normally.

Just in case anyone was curious about this I found a solution. I was also getting otherwise harmless Event ID: 3012 errors from source LoadPerf so ran 'lodctr.exe /r'.
