XP Pro and SP2

    The auto Update put SP2 on my puter and it froze,repeatedly re booted it self and finally crashed.. I have been told NOT to put SP2 on the pro version... I have SP1 and do the updates as needed. Do I need to use SP2? And what caused this problem? :eek:
