XP Pro boots up with default screensaver

This happens quite frfequently. I usually have the Starfield selected but it gets changed to the Windows default one.

What must I do to stop this happening?

I wonder, is it possible to delete the offending saver, or perhaps all those I don't use?

Are you talking about that the screen savers will boot first instead of windows.:confused

Some times it is best not to use them at all,I know i don't.

 

After the machine boots up, and the desktop has been displayed for the length of time set in the Screensaver tab of Display Properties, without any keyboard or mouse input, the screensaver which appears has often been changed to the system's default one (Windows XP), despite me having selected another (usually the Starfield).

I trust that a better exxplanation of what happens?
