XP Pro Firewall - Opinions

    I just bought a new laptop which has XP Pro operating system. On my desktop, I use Zone Alarm Firewall and am happy with it. (I connect thru a dial-up service.)

    Zone Alarm seems simple to use and effective. The XP firewall does not seem to be as informative but I guess that does not mean it is not effective. I would appreciate any advice you can give.

    Windows firewall is very basic. ZA is better in functionality so stick with that if you prefer.

    Windows firewall is a good stopgap but is very rarely updated. It's always better to go with a third party firewall which is updated regularly and serves your purposes well. If ZA does that for you, then there you are :)
