I have several XP Pro machines that I map a network drive to a win/2000 machine for backup purposes. Each machine has a userid and password set on the win/2k machine and the 2k machine has a folder set up for each user. With the NETUSE command some machines ask for a userid & password and others do not! Why? I want to be able to map the drive with a batch job at backup time with no intervention from the user. It seems that some machines pass along the windows user&pw and some do not. Anyone have any clue at all?
