Is there any way to embed a key into a slipstreamed XP Pro Sp1 cd. I ask because i want to make a copy of my slipstreamed CD which has the key already typed in so that should i need to re install i dont need to faff about trying to find the right key. I think i saw this before where corporate users have a mulit-liscence key, and you just have one CD or a network install so all the machines install it unnatended

In fact im sure there must be a way to do this because i remember doing unattended installations in the MCSE course. just cant remember exactly how to do it :p

Actually, no, screw it, unnattended install, got it all worked out.. but i was sure you didnt need a boot floppy before.. oh well! http://www.svrops.com/svrops/documents/xpunattend.htm

Yup, there are lotsa articles on the net on how to do an unattend file, or you can wait a couple hours, and I'll email you mine (minus product key of course).

My unattend doesn't even show the EULA :p

    you don't need a floppy.

Rename the file to winnt.sif and put it in the i386 directory on the CD.

I've customised my own with the deploy tools. I've done it before... just was quite a while ago, now... rename that file :p

I think snakefoot's website might have some info on it.

Just find the user snakefoot(on this forum) and goto his website in his profile.
