xp pro takes long to load all programs

    Hi I know the wiz guys here can help with this problum, My system has XP Pro, w/ sp2, intel 2gig, 1 gig ddr memory, nvidia 5700 xp video card.
    My question is when I first turn on my computer and click on the start button than all programs ( it takes forever) like 2 or 3 min before the programs show up, after the first time all is fine, any suggestions
