    Hello,

Can you help me. I have XP Pro installed and validated but it came without an Office or word program, which I need. Can you suggest which Microsoft product I need (or compatible alternative) because I can't do business without it. I'm guessing I need Office or Works, but would like to make sure before I install just in case.

    Thanks

    Scott

I'm still running MS Office 2000, on my XP Pro, without problems.;)

One choice is Open Office, listed there.

    Thanks Bazza,
That sounds good, I might give Open Office a try. I'll let you know what it's like if you like.

    Cheers

While your available can I ask you what you would recommend for removing unwanted malware. I've got Remove it Pro but is there anything else you can think of. And sorry but what is the NDIS User Mode driver and should I let it access the net. I'm figuring yes but it would help to know what it was.

I'll go to the Malware thread if you like.

    Cheers

If a word processor is your main concern, you might find AbiWord adequate. It's also freeware.

By the way, I think you should start a separate thread in the Malware section for your other question.

    Thanks USAF,

Open Office is working fine and seems to be compatible with Mozilla and other programs i think it will fulfil my needs. I will follow your advice re-malware.

    Peace to ya buddy,

    Thanks

AbiWord is the first program that appears on the MG link I quoted previously (and below here).
