    Hi guys

I bought a PC from a friend, it had 2000 Professional installed. The boot disks got damaged, so I took it to a local 'puter repair guy and asked him to put XP on it instead, to make it compatible with my other PC.

PC came back with XP Pro on it; can't get it updated 'cos I didn't get a product key with it. However I do have a genuine copy of XP home which I got with my first PC (now scrapped) so can I use that to get this one registered or am I up the proverbial without a paddle?

    Thanks

    Harleyman

    Thanks for the replies.

Bill, forgive my ignorance please, but where do I find the relevant "licences" tab on Everest? The only one I found just went to their own licence agreement.

on the main page look down the list until you see SOFTWARE click that and you should see licenses click and it will show any software license numbers.
