xp reformatting

I am having trouble reformatting xp. When i get to the end user licence window and you have to use f8 to agree, I cant. Nothing happens.

Can any one help please???

 

Does your F8 key work?

 

Does your keyboard have an F-Lock key?

 

LOL...do you know how many people we have who call with OEM copies of XP, pay 35 bucks, and we turn that key on for them so they can get past the EULA?

A lot. You then hear them slapping themselves as they proceed into setup.




OEM copies don't get free setup support.

 

LOL I can imagine... I used to hear that question a lot when I worked at CompUSA. Always start with eliminating the obvious

 

My Keyboard is a microsoft multimedia 1.0a ,and the software is IntelliType pro 2.2. The f lock light is not on so I am not sure if it works or not.

 

Turn the F-Lock light on by pressing the key...

 

f lock key? never heard of that, does every keyboard have one? i dont see one on mine that says f lock on it? i was just wondering cuz i just barely bought an oem copy of windows.

 

Some newer keyboards have it.
