xp repair install and sp3

I may need to do a repair install of xp pro and have a question (just in case I do end up needing to go this route).

I upgraded my pc from ME to XP Pro w/ sp1. Since then all the updates have been done. I know that if I need to do the repair install I will need to reinstall the security fixes and sp2 & sp3 when done. However, from what I have read, I should be able to just install sp3 which includes all the sp2 updates as well.

The thing is that I have an AMD Processor and I know that there was a hotfix that needed to be applied prior to installing sp3 if updating from sp2 with the amd processor.

If I am just installing sp3 do I also need install the hotfix???
