XP Requesting avtivation but then telling me its activated

    I recently reinstalled my XP Pro and had to to reactivate before I could log in. Activating via the web failed so I telephoned Microsoft and activated it manually without incident. Now when I restart its still telling me it needs activating but when I click on teh button it tells me its already activated so I'm stuck in this activate/already activated loop.

    Please hep me before I lose my mind
