xp running slow

hello, I am a 14 years old and my windows xp computer is running slow.... i open the task manger and i realize that this one process "system idle process" and it is running at 99 CPU. also i realized that there are 8 svchost.exe processes running. Also the
CPU usage is running at like 8% it dosent make sense to me
HELP ME :confused

System Idle Process running at 99% is good; means nothing is actually running.

The svchost processes are running system and user services; they must be running all the time.

There may be many reasons why your system is running slow; let's start looking at a few...

Do you have CCleaner installed? If not, download and install it from http://majorgeeks.com/download4191.html

Start CCleaner, then click on Tools | Startup, then click Save to text file. Attach that file to your next post, so we can look at what you have in your startup list. Too many unnecessary startup items can seriously slow down a system, especially if memory is limited.

You can also run the Cleaner component of CCleaner to clean up many unnecessary junk files from your system. Uncheck Cookies if you have many login cookies on your system. Do not run the Regsitry cleaner component, at least not for now!

Do you defragment your C: drive sometimes? If not, that is certainly something that may speed up some things.

i downloaded CCleaner and i have the report. i also defragmentated my C drive.
