I cannot network with computers on my network. Suddenly some key services have stopped running and I cannot start them. Previous to this happening I ran the registry fixer from Avanquest Fix-it Utilities. That's when I noticed problem started. I used Fix-It to undo the registry changes but it could not undo them all. After restarting, I used Windows System restore to roll back the clock, but still no networking. I do have Internet and email.
Workstation seems to be the problem Service as other services are dependent upon it. In properties, General tab, startup type is: automatic. path to executable is: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs
Under recover tab, all say no action.

have you checked if the file exists -- \system32\svchost.exe ? Does that file show in the processes? I currently show 10 instances of svchost.exe in the task manager. Do you get any error messages when windows is loading? do you have networking if you boot into Safe Mode with Networking?

Yes the file is present, It also appears 10 times in processes. no errors when starting, and no networking in safe mode w/networking. would it make sense to try an older windows restore point?
