XP settings

i need some help im using xp pro and ive messed up my settings i want the xp look like this, http://www.infopackets.com/graphics/remove+msn+messenger+windows+xp.gif , but its as this now http://infocomp.csuchico.edu/metis/fundamental/win/desktop.jpg i open disply options and XP is not there all thats there is windows default and default modiified can somone please help me out?

go to settings->control panel->system->advanced->performance settings->visual effects.
you can click "adjust for best appearance" button or check the box below " use visual styles and butttons".

i tryed that it hasnt changed i thing it must of got deleted from themes folder cani download it from anywere ?

Ah ok...... on your desktop ( apart from on an Icon ) press your right mouse button > properties > Appearance then in the drop down menu under Windows and Buttons pick Windows XP Style and then apply.

then all should be back to normal

I guess you deleted some stuff from the Themes folder?

I have sent you link to my FTP which I have stored the Windows XP Luna theme I have copied from my windows theme folder its the original files..... to install just double click the Luna.exe file ( its a self extracting stuffit file ) once uncompacted copy and paste them in the C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes folder exactly as they uncompact.

Should be a Luna folder and a Luna theme file.

Hope this works for you.

ps the file will only be there for a day or so... so be quick!
