xp sp1 problems

I am running XP and the theme which I had installed prior to the sp1 udate which I just preformed is nolonger working how can I get this theme to be reapplied in the themes folder. the theme is SosumiXP. I have checked the sight for any possible errors or problems and there is nothing avaliable.

 

I am new to themes (swithcing them) but I know that there are different versions of the uxtheme.dll file
one pre-SP1
and one post SP1..


did you try re-applying the theme..or re-patching your uxtheme.dll??

It is in C:\windows\system32 and C:\windows\system32\dllcache

You boot to Safe Mode, rename the file int he dllcache then in system32 and then drop in the SP1 version of the file. Reboot, all done. You may get occasional Windows File Protection messages--ignore them.

Or you can make it easy on yourself and purchase Style XP and it willt ake care of the problem for you as well as let you change some other stuff.
