xp sp2 has killed my machine

i have already posted something about this but my problem has not been fixed so i shall post it up one more time.
i installed xp sp2 restarted it only to have it boot to a black screen with this writing,
0000232c
0000233b
0000234e

If I hit any key it just restarts again and goes to that. I cannot get to safemode because whenever i hit f8 it just brings up what i want to boot from first (cd,floppy ect)and i cant wait any longer to press f8 because if i press it later the stupid screen pops up and if i press any button it restarts. I have also tried to uninstall it by using the windows cd

but when i get to this step
9. At the C:\WINDOWS prompt, type: cd $ntservicepackuninstall$.
Press the ENTER key.

and i press enter it just tells me to type help for proper commands. I dont think i can reinstall windows because it will delete all my folders which i do not wish to do. IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY

 

You sure you typed the command correctly?
