Xp Sp3 Install ??

I have read thru the posts on the new SP3 for XP, I have a couple of questions -

I am running XP Pro SP2, with IE7 (all patches applied) and WMP 9, I read in a Tech newsletter that SP3 comes with IE6 and WMP10, will my system be changed to the SP3 items ??

I am being offered SP3 thru Automatic Updates, can I download the patch , turn off the computer, turn off the router, reboot the computer, turn off the AV app and THEN install the patch ??? That way I am off line and no AV running to bugger up the install -

Just note, that when you install xp sp3 and you have IE7 installed you can't uninstall ie7 to revert back to ie6.
