Just wondering if there is a fairly easy way to change the boot graphics in xp.

I don't like the screen look while waiting for it to boot. So where would I find the graphic file and the status (animated gif?) bar files and are they changeable?

Also would be interested to putting custom audio file.

Before you begin, then you should be aware that any of these methods can render your system unbootable.
Haven't seen any articles about playing audio during bootup (Probably because there isn't any "basic" audio driver like the vga driver)

When you say unbootable do you mean permanently or until I change the file back?

If you know your way around the Recovery Console then it should be a breeze (And you make backups before modifying files).

I checked out the links and that look pretty cool. Don't know my way around the recovery console, but I sure do know one way to find out hehehe.

I just have to be carefull as it is not my box I'm messing with. I just want to leave my signature on their machine, that's all, and maybe even tastefully :D
