My uncle still uses Dell XP and it is loaded with Trojans viruses. It is causing the computer to use to much memory and it hears up.

I tried that too. I am not sure what is going but it has been frustrating.

You'll have to describe more accurately what is going on when you attempt to complete the download and then the running of MGtools.exe. Have you first disabled your anti-virus program? Is the file being deleted before the download is complete?

    Alternative scan

Please download OTL by Old Timer to your desktop.
    • Double-click OTL.exe to run (Vista/Win7/8/10 right click and select Run as administrator)
    • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top-right, make sure Standard Output is selected.
    • Select Scan All Users.
    • In the Processes box and the Services box choose All.
    • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
    • Copy the text in the code box below and paste it into the Custom Scans/Fixes text-field.
    Code:
    activex
    netsvcs
    %systemdrive%\*.*

    • Now click the Run Scan button.
    • When the scan is complete, Notepad will open with the results of the OTL scan.
    • Close Notepad.
    • There will be two log files on your desktop entitled OTL.txt and Extras.txt.
    • Upload both OTL.txt and Extras.txt to your next message.

You uploaded the wrong Malwarebytes' log. Open the program > select the "Application Logs" GUI > left-click the top & most recent Scan Log > click on the Export and select "Text file (*.txt)" > save to your Desktop for easy retrieval.

Please run Hitman Pro, activate/enable the free trial, then remove all detections. Reboot and rescan with Hitman Pro, upload an updated log.

Re-run RogueKiller.exe also, fix all detections; re-scan and upload a fresh log.

Download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.
    • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator
    • Click on the Scan button.
    • AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
    • When it's done you'll see: Pending: Please uncheck elements you don't want removed.
    • Now click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[S#].txt) will open in Notepad for review (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
    • Upload this log to your next reply.

I take it that you're referring to the missing Malwarebytes' log. *I am waiting for the requested log uploads.

I am sorry but I sent the Malewarebytes log in the above post. No the Adwcleaner is what I was referring too. It says it found nothing.

No, you uploaded a Protection log (definitions update) and NOT a Scan log, which is what I want - along with the updated Hitman Pro and RogueKiller logs.

Ok this is weird. I uploaded Rogue and Hitman pro on the very first post..

I can see it when I look at it. It was uploaded.

In my post#9, I gave instructions to re-run BOTH Hitman Pro and RogueKiller. To allow each program to perform fixes, and to then generate fresh logs to be uploaded. Is there something confusing to you about that?

re: Your last log upload - that scan is 1 week prior to this thread being started. Provide a freshly ran Malwarebytes' scan log.
