    Hi,
I recently moved house and since then my PC has been behaving in an unstable way. Not sure if the move is a coincidence but I am not having much success at fixing things and need help.
The symptoms are that every few hours my PC crashes. I get a whole series of error messages such as "winhttp.dll is not a valid image file"; and "Application error VolPanel.exe"; "StrmServer.exe - Application has generated an exeption that could not be handled". After accepting the errors no applications work. When I reboot sometimes the reboot works fine, other times my wallpaper appears with no icons. Other times I get errors on reboot especially "Tray Icon Creation", but then things are fine for a few hours.
I have tried a few things - reinstalled Internet Explorer; I ran sfc /scannow; I ran a defrag; I downloaded and ran AMUST "Registry Cleaner"; Some of the error relate to Skype, so I tried installing the latest version but it failled, so I reverted to the previous version from backup. I have run all my antivirus and anti malware programs. I am using Ad-Aware, Spybot, Spyware Doctor, Spyware Blaster, and PC-cillin. I also tried system restore - but there are no restore points. All to no avail.
Recent things I did before the problems which may have some bearing? I recently installed "Back2Zip.exe" which seems to generate errors on reboot sometimes. I recently ran the CCleaner "fix issues" registry function.
I attach a Hijackthis log file.
Grateful if anyone could offer me some advice.

If your move has not shaken a conection loose as Sabrenx suggests (most likely) some more possibilities

    Check your new house wiring/voltage
Multiple, random errors like you have reported are usually traced to memory or capacitors. Perhaps the move is coincidence and a component was failing anyway.
If errors still pop up when the pc is running in safe mode and even with no operating system (just bios) loaded the fault is certainly hardware.

Thank you for your replies, which I tried to no avail. My PC crashed shortly after posting and has been back to where I bought it. Hence the delay in further postings. The shop identified a failed Graphics card and replaced it. Now the PC is back up and running. However I am still getting errors. I get a couple of regular errors on booting. After a few hours the system crashes and I get the same error messages. I have listed the errors in the attached document. Both Skype and Pinnacle Media Reciever are on my wireless network and the network access fails too.

    Thank you,
I have downloaded the program and tested the PC's memory but all was found correct. It seems that XPSP2 has been installed by the man in the computer shop, but now it will not accept any automatic updates. Also I can no longer access my wireless network as the automatic IP address obtained bears no resemblance to what it should be getting. I am using my work lap top to post this. It is all very frustrating.

Installing SP2 is known to cause errors when added to certain computers.

This may be an issue with existing software, particularly the AV or firewall
or it may be an issue with hardware and DEP needs to be turned off.

As a last resort you may have to uninstall SP2.

The shop which put it on should be responsible for making it work.
