XP User Profile Head Scratcher

    Windows XP SP 3, all drivers up to date, malware, virus scan is clean yet here's the problem.
    When watching videos in profile "A" I will experience sudden shutdown. Computer will just shut down. Not to mention that video is choppy and playback is poor.
    If I create a new profile, all is good. Video is smooth, plays back without shutting down and not to mention the system is faster and much more responsive.

    Christmas card to anyone who can help figure this one out.
