XP WGA Notifications at Logon

How do I get rid of the notifications XP gives me when I log on/off ?
I already removed the WgaTray.exe from systray, but the notification messages still appear.

There really is no way to remove WGA nowdays, due to how it has been imbedded into the OS with the updates. If you are getting notifications, are you sure that it is not for Security or update notifications?

Take it your running an illegal version of XP?

if not you need to contact Microsoft.

You could try this just in case it's your ActiveX security levels in IE blocking WGA that are the problem: http://www.kbalertz.com/Feedback_905226.aspx If your problem is the 'genuine' part of WGA, learn to live with it or pay up and go legit.

I used the chance to format my pc...
so everything's alright now :]

Strange as the last 6 times I have needed to contact MS its been instant, effortless and painless.

I take it you now dont have KB905474 installed now? will be in Add/Remove ( need to check Show all Updates )
