XPpro file sharing problem.

I have a small home network with 3 computers, 2 on XPpro, 1 running 2000.

I have set up file sharing and am now trying to set up a shared folder that will be accessible only to the host comp. and one other.

When I try to set permissions, the 'locations' list in the 'select users or groups' dialog only shows my PC - i cant find any users or comps on the network.

Shouldn't the network users show up under locations? I can't find any literature explaining why only my PC is listed.

Any help would be much appreciated!!!
