Xps 720

I have a Dell XPS 720, about a year old. Computer will power up. Fans will start up, but no signal is sent to monitor, no sign Windows or BIOS are loading. The mother board beeps twice, LED lights give signal that the problem is "other" per the manual. Thats all I know. I can power the computer on then off 3 or 4 times then it starts up just fine. Diagnostics find no problems. Please help. I dont know much of what Im doing.

 

The problem could be a number of things, but I think it's likely that it is power-related. Either the power supply is failing, or the motherboard is failing. If you have access to a different power supply (preferably a new one), hook it up; if the same thing happens then we at least know the power supply is not the problem. Carefully check your motherboard; look at all the capacitors and make sure they are all PERFECTLY flat on top. If any of 'em (even one) is slightly 'popped' or you see some that appear to be leaking, then your motherboard is in dire need of replacement. This is what normal healthy capacitors look like:
