Xupiter? How to block this?

Sometimes I get a popup while ont he internet "Do you want to install Xupiter?" I know this is very bad program and I say no but is there any way to block this? My regular popup blocker doesn't block this.

 

thats scripting? I know the best to block that is to go internet tools if you are using IE 6, open internet options, click tab that say security, click custom level and scroll down to disable those 3 which is active scripting, allow paste via operations via script, and scripting of java applets. It works for me, I never got any pop ups.

 

good tip, but be forewarned that this can cause some sites from functioning properly, such as windowsupdate, and o view those sites you'll have to reenable scripting.
It;s either that or put sites you want to allow to run scripts in the "trusted site" list and set that security level to medium.

 

That "pop up" along with many others occurs because there is already some adware on your system telling it to...or usually thats the case anyway.

if you're not using them already, get Adaware
and SpyBot Search & Destroy
and run those weekly
