   Do I need to install a xvid codec to watch a xvid movie on MP 10, or does MP allready support that codec?

   You should be able to play it with DivX, if you have that installed. But WMP will not support it natively!
   
   If you cannot play a Xvid encoded film, try downloading the codec. Really, it should work with DivX.
