This is one of my friends computer she asked me to fix this problem she has been having for a long time. I though it was going to be a piece of cake but it wasn't.

    1. The clock stops at the end of the year 2000 (I tried to fix it by manually configuring the clock by going to bios)
    2. At the begining when booting up the computer I get "Controller something not found error 80" and once I reset the mainboard I have to do the whole clock thing again.
    3. I don't know what kinda of mainboard type it is, but I know is a Chaintech mainboard because I could see the logo of Chaintech in the video chip. I need to update the bios to se e if that would fix it. The mainboard also has a big Y2K logo..

So here is the only information that I could give you guys about the mainboard incase one of you guys know the answer to my problem...

It has a VT8363 VIA CHIP
I get a product ID 8363-686 (when i did a benchmark with Everest Home Edition)
The monitory Chip is a Via 686 A/b

    This are the chip sets
    NorthBridge is Via KT133A
    SouthBridge is Via VT82C686/A/B

    AND FINALY
    BIOS
    Award Software Inc
    ver 6.00PG
    Date 26 September 2000
    Address E000h on 256kb

I hope that is alot of information.....and I hope one of you could help me...

Well first I didn't know what type of mainboard was it the only thing I knew about it was that the manufactor was Chaintech. So I did alittle research compared mainboards and it turn out ot be a CT-7AIA Mainboard. After that I needed to fix that stupid Bios error, so I updated the bios to a recent one made in 2001. So this kinda fix the error and just to make sure everything was alright, I changed the CMOS battery..And that error when away and the clock finaly stayed with current date which would be Nov 16, 2004.
