yahoo and msconfig

hi all,
i searched the site but found nothing about my issue.
please forgive me if i missed it

i have spybot and it blacklists a few programs from startup.
there are 2 that i have an issue with.
msconfig-
yahoo pager

the issue is i have them set as do not allow in startup but everytime i
look its there. now i don't know if i can skip this or if this is an issue.
i delete them in hkeys and they still show up

Hi

Which Windows Version you using?

Are you using msconfig to manage startups? if you are then don't as its not the perfect method for doing this, its primarily a startup troubleshooting application and as such adds its own process back and seems spybots blocking that, so enable all startups in msconfig and reboot, then either delete the ones you dont want to start or untick to disable them with this free app which works better http://www.majorgeeks.com/Startup_CPL_d619.html and disable the ones you dont want to start.

msconfig for one will add itself back to the registry run hive as its a system file and if your using it to manage startups it will need to be present.

Yahoo Pager is going to keep popping up...

run the program
go to messenger - preferences - general tab
uncheck "Automatic startup"

problem solved.
