Yahoo! Browser

Ok I have a general question regarding the Yahoo! Browser.
First a little background...
When we got DSL it is by our phone company SBC and it is called SBC Yahoo! DSL so naturally it installed a Yahoo! Browser. I have parental controls on Computer #2 for the kids which means you MUST sign into your SBC Yahoo! Account via the Yahoo! Browser if you want to access the net at all.
I really like and use Firefox one my computer (#1) and also under my name on Computer #2 but as for the kids I use Yahoo! Browser so they don't have to log into one then open up another one as at 8 years old it can be confusing.
So, now my question is this how safe is Yahoo! Browser to keep from getting spyware etc like you get with IE??

Thanks I will check into that much appreciated on the reply and I am not sure if it is stand alone or if it is an overlay for Internet Explorer. It installed directly from the SBC DSL Installation CD if that means anything.
When I click help and about Browser it says
