Not sure where to post this, but here goes. My ATT/Yahoo email won't open and has been like this for 3 days! I enter my password and it loops back to the sign-in page again and again. This is apparently a big problem that is affecting 1,000's of people. http://downdetector.com/status/yahoo-mail/map/ and https://twitter.com/YahooCare It went out last Friday, came back on Saturday, and has been out since Sunday.
Does anyone know anything about this? It's my only email and I'm going nuts!

I don't have an ATT Yahoo mail account.
    But, try this.
I signed in at Yahoo mail. I then went here https://att.yahoo.com/ and clicked on the mail icon and was immediately taken to my account.
I hope it works for you.

I have standard Yahoo mail and can sign in and out without any problem.
As per Eldon, I suggest you just go to the standard log in page:
    https://login.yahoo.com/

Max, just because you can get into Yahoo email, sadly, that doesn't mean it loads for everyone.
Back in March, I could get on in Pennsylvania but an internet friend in Iowa was out for a few days.

whitequeen96, I'd advise you to have more than one email account at a different online site. if something goes wrong with the first one, you can contact your friends with the other email address.

Thanks for the suggestions but I, and 1,000's (maybe more) of people have done this and it doesn't work. It seems to accept your password, then loops you right back to the sign-in page. And I've tried going thru att and still can't get on. The problem seems concentrated in Los Angeles and San Francisco. (scream!!!)

I always login from Yahoo mail, try that way.

Yup, I've learned my lesson; I'll have to get another e-mail address!

You should also consider using an email client on your PC. No need for anything complicated with lots of features & settings like Outlook or Thunderbird. I use the free EssentialPIM (Personal Information Manager) which includes a straightforward email client.
Yesterday I logged into Yahoo! Mail (on the internet) to try and help you - it was the first time in about 3 months. With EssentialPIM I stay logged in even when Yahoo! logs me out about every 2 weeks on their site. The bonus is all your emails are on your PC in a file as well as a backup file.

I never said it did. It was a suggestion to use a non AT&T login.
If it still didn't work that's life.
    To the OP:

Even though I never have problems signing in to Yahoo, I find GMail much better, more features and altogether great.

Thanks for your help, everyone! Yahoo had told me (via chat) to click on Menu in the right top corner, then Options, then Privacy, then clear History, Cookies and Cache. It worked once, but the problem came back in 24 hours and wouldn't respond to this method. I finally found that if I cleared all cookies via both Iobit Malware Fighter and Advanced SystemCare, the problem was resolved. I'm putting this on here in case anyone else has this problem.

Thanks for your help, everyone! I learned a lot from your comments, including how helpful people on MajorGeek.com are. I'm sorry to take so long to get back to you, but when my email came back up after 4 days, I had 100's of emails and some of them were urgent!

Personally, I think Yahoo is generally second-rate and I only use some old emails on it for website logins of interest. Google's Gmail is just far superior for anything important.
