Yahoo Email Question

Several years ago my yahoo email service was locked I am trying to reopen it. Is there a simple way this can be done?

It seems to me that they were having some problems and they came up with a locked account key which never worked for me. If I try now from their site they will send me a account number but when I get back the site has disappeared. I fear it is a futile effort.
Tat is all I can remember, I have tried for over a year to get in touch with yahoo but no success.

Umm....open more than one window in your browser. One for yahoo and one for your alternate email.

There is no "account number" for a Yahoo email account. I've had one since 1999.

Do you perhaps mean an access code is sent to a mobile device or an alternate email address that you paste into your Yahoo mail account? If you do get in be sure to check that your alternate email address(es) and/or mobile phone number is usable.
People give old mobile numbers and never update them. Also an email address that is no longer working is not helpful either.

Since I've had my Ymail account years before I ever had a smartphone, I set up 2 alternate email addresses to be sure I would not be locked out of my account.
