yahoo messenger version 7.0

    Hi everyone i am brand new to this site and am not very computer literate, so please bear with me.

    Some how or the other i have upgraded from Yahoo messenger 7.0 to version 8.0. Neither of these work properly, so i followed advice i saw on here and tried to delete yahoo messenger file in C: drive. When i try to delete a box pops up "cannot delete, make sure disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use", i have no idea how to do that can any kind person help. Is all i went to get is Yahoo Messenger version 7.0 working ok, it suits me fine.

    Hi and Welcome

    Best option to start with is to goto Add/Remove ( located in Control Panel ) and look for Yahoo Messenger and uninstall from their to start with, never try to delete the actual files from the C: Program Files folder as this route will leave many files from the program still on your PC.
