yahoo widget engine problems

since I updated the yahoo widget engine I have been having problems with the shotcut launcher. It delted all my shortcuts and when I add a few it crashes and takes all the shortcuts down with it

 

Any ideas on how to fix this?

 

I haven't tried the Yahoo widget engine so the program I am recommending might also clash with it but I use

and do away with your icons and shortcuts altogether.
I have 170+ magicWords instead of icons.


This is the most essential program I have come ever across in over 20 years of personal computing.

I am almost completely lost without it when trying to assist others with PC problems as it speeds up productivity and ease of use. Going through menus with mouse clicks and trying to remember stupid shortcut combinations like Ctrl-Shift-F7, etc., are things of the past. All magicwords are your own ideas for a shortcut. X = Excel, IE for Internet Explorer, Mydocs for My Documents folder, Expl takes you straight to Windows Explorer, etc. Bazza

wow, thats a great program, all I got set up now is firefox, i will eventually put all my games and stuff on there too. thanks for showing me this great piece of software.

 

Glad you liked it. You can remove most of the shorcuts from your startup page. You will find more uses for it every day. Paricularly if you get to use parameters as well to go deeper into each program. I have services.msc, etc., on mine as well. I can go direct to Add/Remove Hardware, Control panel, system, etc. It is only a matter of loading the properties as the path and they nearly all work. Bazza
