    Having a nice aged old problem with installing a wireless network card (Hawking Wireless-G PCI Card, 54M 802.11g wireless PCI ethernet card) to an old Compaq computer with a fresh 98 Standard edition fully updated via windows update. The compaq works perfectly on wired Network, but it refuses to work with the router o_O;

    I grabbed up to date drivers, they did not work, try several websites and thier solutions for it not to work, but I figured I'd ask here and see if I can get it to work.

    The exact error message is as follows:

    ndis.vxd, ntkern.vxd device loaders for this device could not load the device drivers (code 2)

    Again, the OS is Windows 98 standard updated as much as possible via Windows Update a couple days ago...

    Only card plugged in is the network.

    Anyone have any idea?
