    The joke's on me, alright. My current scan is a safe mode McAfee full scan... (froze at about 80% in normal windows mode)... sigh... currently at 5%... Huh... the five and the "%" are on the same key... huh...

    The only scan I ever do is to verify disc permissions, occasionally I'll repair. It takes about 20 seconds to do each.

    lol i had avg and it was going on 24 hours and found nothing so i cancelled it and installed symantec and it found 3 trojan horses in 30 mins

    RAM test: Causes system freeze. 2 RAM dimms removed (after six months of working).
    RAM retest: successful
    SUPERAntiSpyware scan (that previously froze twice): In progress...:zzz
