Yet another AVG problem

I started this thread a day or two ago. I tried to uninstall and re-install AVG but it just would go. I tried Cat9's link on paging file fixing. It didn't work (thanks anyway Cat ). So I manually removed AVG as best as I could, ran CCleaner on HD and the reg, manually scanned the reg and HD for AVG/Grisoft files and removed anything found. Then I did a repair install of XP Home SP2. I still can't install AVG. A screen shot and error report are attached. I'll be searching the Grisoft support forums/help pages, but in the meantime.... any ideas???

I assume you are trying to install the most recent version and using the download from AVG servers? JMHO, I wouldn't worry about and use Avast!. It's better and a little less bloated.

Also, are you sure your system is clean?
