How can I get XP pro to open up all screens in maximised mode?
I hate working in keyholes. Bazza

You can also right-click on the shortcut, select properties, Shortcut tab, Run: Maximized. You can do this for every program you want to open maximized.

Thanks S_P_D and D3m3nt3d for your replies. Lots of ones that cause my grief are not shortcuts but the standard menu stuff on XP Pro. I will use the Shift key and X combo and see what happens. Thx, Bazza
