    Yo,

I wanted to switch what the power button on the start menu does and I set it to shut down in Control panel power options, (both for connected and unconnected). Changes were saved as it is still like that when I check.

However, when I click it it is still going into sleep/hibernate.

    What's it all about?

Is this a laptop? Are you setting this for Connected to AC Power or On Battery?

Don't know what system os you got but mine is win7 and all I did to change mine is right click on start button, go to properties, in the new window that pops up, select start menu and a third of the way down you see power button with a drop down menu and select what you want it to do, then apply at bottom, then OK, click on start and test it to see if it did it. That's how I changed mine.
