You are my only hope - can't get rid of trojan horses!

    I am not brill with all this tech stuff but have followed your advice from other threads in trying to get rid of my trojans! Things are getting better but the little critters are still imbedded in my system. Have just run symantec, housecall, bitdefender, ravanti, trojan scan - all say I have no virus! But adaware says I have appro 200 critical objects and 3 trojans. Hmmm...
    Here is my hijack this log - I really hope you can help me!! Thanks so much - you guys do a great job :)

    I dont see a lot of problems here, which is good :) This first line I am always unsure of, unless your internet provider puts it there, you can try and remove it..

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1

    Only other problem I see is :
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [salm] c:\temp\salm.exe


    Are you experiencing any problems?

    hey thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Glad you can't see too much wrong here - having a few probs with connecting to internet - for some reason, everytime I connect, it takes me straight to goole page.

    I will check these other r1 and 04 lines - had a feeling that salm.exe might be a problem. Will see what happens. Thanks again! ;)

    If thats the case, one of those 2 lines could be the cause.

    hope I have done the right thing - fixed both in hijack. Here is latest log



    thank you again for this forum - I would have smashed up my pc by now if I hadn't follwed you advice!

    I can not find a single line in there that could be a problem. Are you experiencing any other problems? If not, we have reached my happy place, another spyware free computer. Oh, please say its so :)

    P.S You should save your logfile and attach it to the thread, theres a manage threads button when you create a thread for that. I have saved and uploaded yours to the above threads.

    me again - thanks for saving my threads - wouldn't have had a clue how to do that! Having a problem connecting to my email server - hotmail. Am able to go on all other www but system is not allowing me to connect to hotmail. Any ideas? apart from that - things seem to be ok

    :D have just checked - I can get onto hotmail now - looks like I am germ free!! at last I can get some sleep - been on this for a whole week - big hugs :)
