You ever notice your pile of e-mail

It's been a few days since I last checked my e-mail and i will tell you it's not pretty. Does anyone else seem to collect 20 peices of e-mail per day, per account?

 

Usually about 10 real ones, plus a few more of the delete before reading kind.

 

I would count myself astronomically lucky if I only collected 20 per day, per account. Granted, I have some accounts that don't collect that much. But I just got home from work and found 147 new emails just in one account. Some of them more than make up for their counterparts.

 

Would that be hotmail? lol, one time I had 360 spams from one place. I complained about it and well, they didn't do anything to make sure it wouldn't happen again.

Most of the stuff I get in my e-mail is work related. Seems they like to really add it on just before I go back.

 

Hehe. I wasn't counting work email. I get probably 50 a day there.

What kind of work do you do SMT?

I get probably anywhere from 35-125 emails generated from different message boards on threads I'm subscribed to, participate in or just want to watch development of... and then probably 3-5 personal emails a day. I don't even wanna talk about spam

 

PM's notices don't count Lugz.

 

50 to several hundred from m/boards etc. in 'garbage accounts'.

10-30 real e-mails to impoortant addresses, for business etc.

i use hotmail and i don't get ANY spam, all i get is the real stuff. and i only get about 3 of those a day.

 

Well I use Oulook Express and I.E 6 and get zero spam and zero infections - so Nyha!

 

I use Outlook and firefox, so double nyha!

 

What I was saying was, ya don't need any fancy crapola to be spam/adware/virus free.

Just the right tools and use them often.

Yeah, I've tried Firefox and all the other explorers and e-mail clients at some stage. Don't need 'em, personally.

 

Actually, no. I get very little email in either of my hotmail accounts, only about 20-50 spam per day and maybe 1-3 real messages per week.

The one that gets the most crap is my website news account, followed closely by the account I use as webmaster for the MI State Union Label Council.

I shudder to think of the email I'd get if I ever subscribed to threads on message boards.
