In the "totally shocking" category today, it has been discovered that Purdue Pharma, the makers of OxyContin, not only knew it did not perform as advertised, but that it is incredibly addictive. They still released the meds anyway, despite all signs to the contrary they should not.

In my neck of the woods, opiate addiction is a serious social issue and a major problem. It knows no class, level of income, nor does it discriminate. All of our police and first responders are now trained, and equipped in the use of Narcan.

If you know anyone who is taking these painkillers, by prescription or not, PLEASE pass this on!!

 

The major issue is that they knowingly released a product they knew not to work as advertised, and contributed to a scourge on society, all in the name of profit.

When the scripts run out, more frequently than not people turn to black market heroin.

 

I take zero medications with the exception of ibuprofen when i have a bad headache.Which in my case is very rare it takes a lot to put me in pain.

I try to stay away from any doctor for as much as i can.

They all ways seem to try to find some thing wrong with some one when there is nothing wrong with most people.

I will admit though there are few things out there that you can get.

And i havent yet.

I have never broken any bones in my life.But i have had sprained my wrist once badly.But never broken it.
