Youngest to sail solo and unassisted around the world attempt to be the youngest per

Jessica Watson is due to finish her youngest around the world solo sail in around 5½ hours time.

It is expected that this will be one of the biggest receptions in Sydney Harbour ever. She will probably be on TV all around the world. Watch out for her.

She is only 16 and has been at sea for nearly 7 months. Hope you get to see
her sail back to Australia.

Unfortunately sea conditions kept her about 4 hours later than expected so a lot of overseas viewers would have missed her arrival at the Sydney Opera House arrival spot. Hope you catch her on the news later. She kept our Prime minister and New South Wales Premier waiting too. :-D The Aussie equivalent of the USA President and a State Governor waiting 4 hours, imagine that.

Congratulations to this brave girl.

A few weeks ago we had a young Dutch girl wanted to attempt the same journey but the courts stopped her so she ran away from home.

Apparently "they" no longer have a record awarded to anyone under 18 in sailing around the world to stop "too young" sailors.
