Your HITS of 2004! (VOTE)

Well since their is only 20 odd more days until Xmas, and only Xmas style songs will end up hitting the charts next, I am curious as to what your choices in the past year of song releases are?.. Mine are:

Chingy - Right Thurr
Eminem - Just Loose It
Black Eyed Peas - Lets Get It Started In Here

Whats yours, I have a few others, just cant remember them off the top of my head!

 

Where's the good music?

 

Anything from Coldplay, Radiohead or APC

 

I've been listening to mostly older music this year. But I did enjoy Roses by Outkast. Any the other recent stuff I've been listening to has been bringing back bad memories of an ex boyfriend so...I've tried to avoid the more recent songs.

 

Choice excellent my friend.

311 takes up 99% of my listening time, has for the past year or so lol. Seriously, the only cd (mp3) in my car is the full 311 collection, and it's all I listen to in itunes. I may have an addiction...

Although I did just get "Clubbers Guide To Trance" per the recommendation of someone over at nasioc.com . 2 CDs of trance goodness

 

Then check out 1000 Homo DJ's and some Aphex Twin And the dudes who did the Fight Club soundtrack. Can't remember their names atm though.

 

Aphex Twin is madness man... I seriously can only handle it in minor doses. Cool shit though, very different.

1000 Homo DJ's, I will have a look-see..

I'd have to say ATB and Kreo are two of my favorites.

 

Call me sad if you like, but Green Day's new album has some alright stuff on it.
i agree with ExOxE, eminem's new song, and i've also taken a liking to guns n roses this year - truely amazing!

I dunno why, but when it comes to music I cant remember the name, I can only hear the song in my head, strange, their's been a fair few goodies this year...

Ofcourse I still like my old tunes, like 1200 Techniques - Karma, 4 Strings - Take Me Away, Afroman, Baha Men, Bloodhound Gang, Bombfunk MC, Brooklyn Bounce, Darude, Dario G, blah blah blah!

I can remember these, but this years ones I only remember by hearing them, sad aye?

 

They are awesome. We met some australians in our hostel while in Whistler last christmas break and they reccomended them. Really a sweet mix of rock and hip hop.

 

Don't want to inundate you with too many new artists but I'd like to suggest a few artists any trance enthusiast should check out.

-Astral Projection (they're in the sub-genre of Goa/Psy Trance)
-Paul Oakenfold
-Kai Tracid
-Yahel (again, Psy Trance)
-Driftwood (Their best song is "Anything Goes." You HAVE to check it out.)
-Datura
-trance[]control (They used to be all over mp3.com...Don't know about that anymore)
-Transa

Sorry...It's just rare to find people who actually know the difference between techno and trance. I can't tell you how many times I've had to describe trance as "kinda like techno, but better."
